a family next door
The kids and I painted small wooden birdhouses last year and hung them up on a tree outside the kitchen window. Little did we know that a "family" of tree frogs would take up residence in one of these abodes. Apparently, Florida is home to seven different kinds of tree frogs. Well, out of all of the critters we've come into contact with in our area, these are the cutest. The kids named them Nuby, Nooby and Ruby. Oh, we also have an armadillo rooting around in our yard at night, but I haven't been able to snap a picture of him.
p.s. The tree house featured in this picture is Lydia's creation.
AT first I thought it a National Geographic photo...then I read it was made by thee. Wow!!! Darling! And the colors are fabulous! Back from St. Louis and was praying now and then for you...wonderfully full days of learning.

This is so cool! I love the house guests you have both in the tree and in the yard. An armadillo?? That's so fun! Been praying for you. I like the blog, too!
