Symphony
"Symphony"
for May Wilson
Raindrops course down
From their heavenly dwelling,
Touching the water below
Like the fingers of a pianist.
From each fallen drop,
A circle appears:
Ripples widening into a
Greater sphere, ever growing.
Each life echoes its own music
Into the lives of others,
A symphony woven from
Individual strands.
As image bearers of the One
Who calls us out with song,
Who mourns each sparrow's
Fall: We belong to Him.
Until the day when we return,
Sweet ushering into Home:
We watch, listen, grow
Into eternal Song.
